If, however, you are looking to do a little recon on your own, for a specific purpose, chances are that you just need to find the right spy surveillance product to fit your individual situation. You could always hire someone else, but with so many spy gadgets reasonably priced, it is possible for you to enjoy a little spying on your own, with the help of the right equipment.
For the regular consumer, there is no need to go overboard when purchasing a spy surveillance product. It is important, however, to honestly evaluate your needs and determine how to get the best quality product you can afford. Even if you are not a professional, if you hope to get the information or evidence you need, then it is important that you have equipment of a good quality so that it does not fail you when you need it.
System File Checker - A Maintenance Utility

System File Checker is a great utility that is typically not utilized by the average Windows XP User. What it does is scan system files that are protected by Windows File Protection (by default Windows File Protection is enabled), and it checks to make sure that the protected files have not been altered. If it finds that a protected file has been altered, it will replace the file with the proper file.
If you are troubleshooting a windows problem or error, running the System File Checker, should be first check. The nice thing about the System File Checker is that it is a tool that isn’t as intrusive as doing a repair install or using the recovery console. Also, by design, it is utility that doesn’t hurt to run, in fact it is a utility that should be run even when there are no problems. System File Checker is meant to ensure that files that are critical to Windows to operate properly are not deleted, overwritten or altered in any way… typically 3rd party software or malicious virus attacks are the culprits.
Taking this a step further, I have incorporated running this utility regularly as a maintenance tool, even when I am not experiencing any problems.

Phone bugs are among the most popular of devices for surveillance. This is because there is something that humans enjoy about listening in on conversations and learning things that others may not want them to learn. Phone bugs are interesting because they are versatile. These hybrid phone bugs are constructed from one of four different eavesdropping techniques: radio frequency (RF), ultrasonic, optical, and acoustic.
RF phone bugs are the most popular of covert listening devices. This is because they are inexpensive and they are difficult to trace. Even if the bug is discovered, chances are that it will not be traced to you. Radio waves are transmitted from the bug’s location to a secondary location. Put Order and Information into File Names

Unless you place your faith in internal search engine software or document databases to track your work, consider a relatively low-tech enhancement to your work methods. I promise it will pay big dividends.
Consider how you name your files and folders. Have you missed an opportunity to clear the clutter and make your work more accessible? When you look at file names within a folder, do they sing out to you with sweet meaningfulness, or are they a cacophonous jumble of confusing heiroglyphics?
The eye likes symmetry. The mind loves order. When you create files and they pile upon one another over time, does their accumulation reflect a master plan or a disaster unplanned? When you view your list of files, is your eye happy, your mind content?
Basically, filenaming is an unrecognized art. Most of us are left to our own devices to figure it out. The good news: with some thought, you can be the artist of a system which will resonate with function.
