Apache, MysQL and PHP for Windows could be a nice nice thing to have on your Windows workstation. You could try and experiment with all kinds of nice PHP and MySQL based applications right on your Windows desktop running Apache, instead of having to access a full-featured server.
Most people have Windows as their workstation and it can be sometimes difficult to switch to another operating system. So, you may have always wanted to run PHP applications on your Windows machine but wondered if it is too difficult to install or if the hassle will be worth it.
This article gives you the essential information to get started right away. Even if you are a seasoned PHP, MySQL and Apache guru, the checklist below will still be helpful in your installation process.
There are lots of 3rd party software that bundles Apache, MySQL & PHP in one package and installs them on our computer. We do not recommend this and suggest that you directly get Apache, MySQL & PHP from their official sites.

1. Get Apache 1.3.33 from here: http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi.
2. Choose a mirror close to you and in the same page, look for the Win32 Binary (Self extracting) file: apache_1.3.33-win32-x86-no_src.exe.

Camcorders have come a long way from the big bulky machines that required an advanced degree to operate them. Now camcorders make you think of a hand held trendy accessory that can easily be brought to any event to capture the moment. As with all handheld appliances, the element that keeps them going is the battery. For every brand of camcorder, there is a specific type of battery and a varying amount of battery life.
For each brand and model of camcorder, there is a specific battery designed for that camcorder by the manufacturer. In order to purchase additional batteries, you must know the make and model number, as brands like Sony have dozens of models of camcorders.
Camcorders typically use NiCD or NiMH batteries. Newer Lithium Ion batteries are on the market for camcorders as well. They are more ideal for camcorders because they must run multiple applications which uses lots of battery power. To accommodate this, traditional NiCD and NiMH batteries can be extremely large and heavy, whereas Li-Ion batteries weigh much less and provide the same amount of power.

Cell phones have changed the way people live their lives. They can stay in touch and get things done without missing a beat. The amount of time people use of their cell phones continues to increase. As people are using cell phones as a business and home phone, it is necessary that they can withstand all the use. Without very powerful batteries, cell phones would not last very long against this increasing rate. If you own a cell phone, which you probably do, you can already understand the importance of a powerful battery and an effective charger. People don’t have time to wait for a battery to charge. That’s why cell phone batteries and cell phone chargers have come a long way to increase life and charging time.
Every so often, a new cell phone battery must be purchased. This usually happens when the cell phone battery life has been drained due to improper charging. However, new lithium ion batteries do not typically have this problem.

The DNS (Domain Name System) servers are what your computer uses to figure out where to go on the internet. www.whatever.com means absolutely nothing to your machine. It’s only with the help of the DNS servers that your computer can figure out what address that domain name correlates to.
There are several methods of hijacking the DNS entries on your PC. The most common, and easiest way to do it is to add false entries into your computers HOSTS file. We’ll cover how to empty that out first:
The HOSTS file is located in a couple of different locations, depending on your Windows version. In Windows XP it is located at C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts (no extension). In Windows 98/ME it is at C:Windowshosts (also no extension).

What’s available, and how to keep it new
Electric razors are a wonderful invention, but can be quite costly. It is important to know how to keep you razor in good condition so it will last a long time and will save you the expense of purchasing a new one. The right type of razor battery and the right type of charger can help to maintain an electric razor and save money in the long run.
There are several familiar brands that make some great electric razors. Braun, Remington, and Norelco all have very good electric razors. Norelco’s new razors have a jet clean and charge system, an all in one set up that helps maintain the quality of the razor. Remington razors have titanium, self-sharpening blades that help maintain the best performance. The Braun razors also boast a cleaning system, and a special design that captures more hair than ever.
Razors typically use an Nickel Metal Hydride or NiMH battery. NiMH is a newer technology in portable appliance batteries that holds twice the capacity of its traditional counterpart. NiMH batteries do not suffer from the memory effect. They are also more environmentally friendly because they do not contain heavy metals. The batteries are usually not that expensive, around $10 to $20, which is much better than purchasing a new razor for $100 or more.
Troubleshooting Computer Freeze (Lockup) Problems

How familiar does the following sound? Your computer was working fine, but then suddenly started locking up (aka hanging or freezing), rebooting itself (crashing) or shutting down spontaneously? If you know only too well what I am talking about, then read on! Performing the simple steps below can fix the majority of lockup cases.
1. Check for recently installed software or hardware. If the lockups started to happen after you installed a new peace of hardware, new software program, or new drivers, uninstall it and see if the problem goes away.
2. Run your antivirus program. One of the first things to do in the case of sudden lockups is to run your antivirus program. Check your antivirus manufacturer’s website for updates and latest virus definition files. (This is absolutely necessary, outdated antivirus is not going to be of any use!) If you don’t have antivirus software installed - or if updates are unavailable - run one of the web-based antivirus scans that some major antivirus vendors like Trend Micro are offering for free. Choosing a battery and Increasing battery life time
PDA batteries vary by brand. Depending on the type of PDA you have. Some of the most popular brands are Compaq PDA and the Blackberry, T-Mobile sidekick. Brands like Compaq and HP have many different PDAs so when purchasing a PDA battery is important to choose the correct model number.
PDA’s use Lithium ion batteries. These types of batteries are more in demand since the use of PDA’s and cell phones have increased. Lithium Ion batteries charge rapidly, are lightweight, and make electronics more powerful.
Battery life of a PDA battery varies greatly depending on how the PDA is used. If it is used for simply calendar, note taking, and contact list, the battery will last for several hours on a single charge. If the PDA is used to play games and watch movies, the battery will die much sooner, around 1 to 2 hours of use.
Palm PC critique

I met an entrepreneur who hole heartedly disagree with an article in Advertising Age by Bradley Johnson that Palm Pilot can keep their market share through brand name. We discussed RIMM Research in Motion and my stock in that company and I defended the wireless venue, but he went into a tirade, luckily I used a digital recorder and got most of it; basically here is his critique:
"That grip has already eroded by Palm PC makers and clones. Palm PC will become the format of choice. The only way for Palm to survive is to be down side protected by making both systems and trying to somehow connect the dots and make them interactive. That is their only hope. Unfortunately with such a previously high burn rate, layoffs of their best and brightest R and D people this is not possible. I see further erosion and am proud to announce we have long ago already chosen our weapon of choice.

Some of the most popular brands are DeWalt and RYOBI. Black & Decker is also another favorite. Many new portable appliances and electronic devices use rechargeable batteries. Cars, boats, and motorcycles are also equipped with rechargeable batteries. How do battery chargers differ for each type of battery? What are the different options for recharging batteries?
Auto and marine and truck batteries are 12 volt batteries. Chargers for 12 volt batteries are much more advanced than traditional versions. Battery chargers such as the Battery Minder charge batteries without overcharging which can ruin a battery. Another very useful tool for auto and marine batteries are jump starters. Many newer models are portable and can jump start up to 30 cars without having to be recharged. A great model is the PowerTank jump start equipped with a florescent light and battery tester. Solar battery chargers are available for a wide range of devices. ICP Solar chargers are great for people on the go.
Cell phones, PDAs, and other small electronic devices use different chargers than auto or marine batteries. Typical small appliance battery chargers are wall or desk mountable. They can charge batteries much quicker than conventional battery chargers. Some even pop out the battery when it is fully charged to avoid the “memory effect” that is common with NICD batteries. ICP Solar chargers are also available for small portable appliances. When charging a cell phone battery, chargers vary greatly by brand and are only compatible with the cell phone manufacturer.
